Meet the Team

  • Jen Warringtion - Principal & Founder

Jen is THE ‘go-to’ for all things career strategy and recruitment. Never one to follow a traditional path, Jen holds space for others to dream a little, think about possibilities that once seemed non-existent and for business clients, shows them that the hard to fill positions are where she thrives. Starting in the recruitment industry in 2007 (thank you, Scott Murphy) and founding The Fusion Group Inc. in 2020 (during a pandemic no less!) Jen has found her niche and the work she does lights her up every single day!! A mom of 2, a wife of 1 and a fanatic of all things Raptors, Blue Jays, FRIENDS reruns and White Point Beach in Liverpool, NS, her goal is to help people find careers they love with companies they thrive with and helping them figure out how to get there with ease and confidence. You are most likely to find her in a hockey rink (she’s the one you hear cheering the loudest), watching her youngest flip and dance her way through life or sitting in her car listening to 90’s music while answering emails.

  • Lindsey Reid - Recruitment Specialist

Lindsey’s story is epic!! Joining The Fusion Group in October 2021 because the stars aligned, Lindsey comes with a background in hospitality management, communications, and a music business diploma. Having followed Jen on social media for the better part of a year and looking for a career change, she booked a discovery call to figure out what was next for her, what skills she had and the type of work she could do? Her positive, outgoing attitude and a willingness to learn whatever was handed her way (am I right people in the hospitality industry?) Jen immediately identified that Lindsey would be an incredible recruiter. As a key member of the team, Lindsey is responsible for candidate management and sourcing along with ensuring clients are updated on our search efforts on a timely basis. Lindsey lives in the valley area of Nova Scotia with her partner Lucas and is an integral part of our recruitment team.

We create paths where others see walls and are the go-to’ for all things recruitment.

Case Studies

With an expanding team + projected growth requiring 20+ hires over a 12 month period, Jen + The Fusion Group (TFG) team were engaged to recommend + develop a long term recruitment strategy that would allow the client to be seen as anemployer of choice when attracting candidates to the open positions.

Through their collaborative working sessions, a recruitment strategy was developed, ideal candidate profiles were established, the compensation program was evaluated + revised with the client feeling confident in their abilities to hire the right team members for long term growth.

With an intimate understanding of the client, the company + the role, the TFG team, led by Jen, were aware of candidates who would fit well with them team + reached out to the client in an effort to support their hiring efforts. With an 85% retention rate, the client saw value in having Jen + her team as a long term strategic hiring resource, bringing them on board in a long term capacity to lead all hiring efforts, including candidate selection ~ unheard of in the recruitment industry.

Case Study #1

During the pandemic that impacted us all in different ways, Rick, was struggling to find a bilingual professional for his company to service clients in the Caribbean. Having used the internal HR team, traditional recruitment strategies such as job boards + referrals, Rick came to The Fusion Group (TFG) after hearing that Jen had started her own firm. The two had a previous working relationship dating back to 2011 + Rick was confident Jen would be able to find the right person for his team. Leading with a direct sourcing model, Jen was able to find a fluent English/Spanish candidate within 10 days of being contactedwith the added bonus of said candidate being well versed in their knowledge of the company given a family member having previously working with the company in the Caribbean. Within 20 business days the candidate had been sourced, prequalified, interviewed twice by the client’s hiring team, made an offer and started their new role with the team to now having been with the team over a year.
